History
Club Name - Tigers Junior Cricket to Merewether District Junior Cricket Club
With the amalgamation of the Adamstown and Kotara Cricket Clubs, Tigers Junior Cricket Club changed its name to Merewether District Junior Cricket Club. The name Tigers was a way of honouring both Club's traditions whilst not being geographically defined so that we would continue to attract players from our current catchment of Merewether, Garden Suburb, Kotara and Adamstown. Tigers Juniors Cricket has always provided a pathway to Merewether Cricket Club for our players. We believe the best way to continue to build and sustain our club into the future is to continually improve and strengthen our relationship with the senior club. Our name change began that relationship and we now continue to build on that each season to embrace the advantages of being affiliated with our senior club whilst not losing our club history of the Tiger.
Club Uniform
As the Kotara Tigers we wore white, green and orange. To streamline our image after our name change we opted to align with the Seniors and switched to Navy and Gold. We introduce Navy playing pants in season 23/24.
